HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Welcome to 2017. I’m still in a little bit of shock that it is already January and time for me to start training for my next half marathon. However, it is that time and it is 2017. I plan on having 2017 be an awesome year with lots of personal and professional growth. I have so many goals set for myself that I am excited to get started. The first goal is the above mentioned half marathon in May! This post is all about my plan for my spring half marathon training week 1.

Each week I plan on outlining my workouts that I am doing. Feel free to follow along. I hope to soon have a PDF version of the training plan coming out soon too! 

New Years Celebration

Not sure about y’all but John and I both feel like we have outgrown the downtown party scene for new years eve celebration. We are “old fogies” that like a much more low key type of night. This year we went with a group of friends to a restaurant in town called Firebirds. I hadn’t ever been before but John had gone there for a work event prior to this time out. 

After dinner we headed to a friend’s house to drink champagne and wait for the countdown. Overall, it was a nice relaxing way to ring in the new year!

20 minute run with 2:1 minute intervals. Running 2 minutes and walking 1 minute.

 

Full body strength workout.

30 Min Walk

20 minute 2:1 intervals

Long Run 35 min 2:1 intervals
